We have been lucky enough to be able to undertake this project becuase of the key support we get from out partners and funders. They range from The University of Huddersfield, who have 25 years experience of field research, project management and advisory work on natural resources in Ethiopia. The EWNRA (Ethio-Wetlands and Natural Resources Association), Founded in 2000, this is the first Ethiopian NGO to focus on forest and wetland issues. It has worked with several donors and has run projects in three of the country’s regions. The Sustainable Livelihood Action, a European Economic Interest Grouping, which focuses on capacity building of local NGOs in developing countries. Its’ staff have over 30 years experience in Africa, Asia and Latin America. SNNPRS Agricultural Offices Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Regional State. Government institution at the local level in charge of agricultural activities and associate partner in the project. Ethiopian Institute of Biodiversity, the federal agency responsible for biodiversity conservation in Ethiopia, involved in ex-situ and in-situ conservation. We have also recieved funding from the European Union, Darwin Initiative and the HOAREC (Horn of Africa Regional Environmental Centre).
