We are delighted to announce that Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE is patron of the ISIaIP.
After training in medicine at Cambridge and Oxford, Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE became a GP. She entered partnership in a busy inner city London practice in 1990. She became a GP trainer in 1994, and has trained no fewer than 27 aspiring GPs.
Sarah Jarvis has over 30 years’ experience in the NHS, and over 26 years as a GP. She combines working as a GP with a role as Clinical Director of the patient information website Patient.info, which provides free health information written by NHS doctors for patients all over the world. She believes passionately in helping people to take control of their own health, and equally strongly in ensuring that everyone has reliable health information to allow them to make really informed decisions.
Karen Ousey's entry into the Contribution to Education in Wound Care Award category has been shortlisted as a finalist for The Journal of Wound Care World Union of Wound Healing Societies Awards 2020.
Karen has been shortlisted in the education award for development of the business skills module, Tissue Viability - Leading Change. This is the only UK Master's level module aimed to develop business skills for staff working in a tissue viability service. Evaluations have stated that learners have enhanced their knowledge and skills in business skills. URGO Medical support the module through bursaries.
